Job description

The PwC Deal
No matter which area of the business you choose to join, all routes offer the same deal. The opportunity to grow as an individual, to meet new people, and build lasting relationships that will stay with you for life. Your hard work will be rewarded with a competitive salary and a personally tailored benefits package.

School and College Leaver programme
A position on our School and college leaver programme is one of the best ways of jumping into a career with PwC early. You'll learn and develop the specialist skills our clients look for and value most and study towards a professional qualification, with support from us all the way.

The work is varied and includes investigating and analysing operational and financial risk, processes, systems and controls in order to make recommendations for improvement. Good communication, analytical skills and a strong eye for detail are therefore really important.

Tax Technology and Innovation
The Tax Technology and Innovation team is varied and an exciting place to be. You’ll support colleagues and clients to come up with new and innovative ways of working, develop new digital products, and work with leading data analytics and business information visualisation tools to manipulate, critically analyse and graphically present data to clients.

Your knowledge and contribution will help high-profile businesses, entrepreneurs and family business leverage technology to engage with PwC and understand complex rules, make informed decisions with significant impact and fulfill their tax obligations. You'll be part of a business that's committed to proactively engaging with the tax policy debate, focused on leading views and new ideas, and solving important problems.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the way PwC staff and clients operate in a rapidly changing world.

What you'll gain
As part of the programme you'll undertake a structured, self directed learning programme, gaining knowledge of the industry and market, technical skills, self development & awareness, leadership skills and commercial awareness.

You'll enjoy plenty of practical, on-the-job training while studying for the ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB) professional qualification. The great thing is, by the time you complete your exams, you'll have lots of valuable experience to build on.

What you need to get in
  • You’ll need to have or be on course for a Grade C or above in a Computer Science, Mathematics, or Design & Technology related A Level.

And the following requirements
  • You'll need to have or be on course for 112 UCAS tariff* (or equivalent).
  • You'll need to have a Grade C or above in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent).

*from up to three A Levels (excluding General Studies) or equivalent, taken in the same academic year and achieved at first sitting

Please note that if you have a degree, you may find our graduate opportunities more appropriate. Having a degree does not lead to faster progression through this programme

Do you need sponsorship to work in the UK?
We can't provide sponsorship for our school leaver roles.

We know that the skills and experiences you develop with us will stay with you throughout your career. So join PwC. We'll help you reach your full potential.

Take the opportunity of a lifetime.
